Eligibility Criteria
Ensure you meet these requirements before applying
Must be an Indian citizen owning a house with a suitable roof for solar panel installation.
Must have a valid electricity connection and the electricity bill should be in the applicant's name.
The applicant must not have availed any other subsidy for solar panels previously.
Aadhaar card linked with a bank account is mandatory for direct benefit transfer (DBT).
Step-by-Step Application Process
Follow these simple steps to get your solar system installed and claim your subsidy
Registration on Portal
Visit pmsuryaghar.gov.in and register using your state, electricity distribution company, electricity consumer number, mobile number, and email.
Apply for Rooftop Solar
Login with your consumer number and mobile number. Apply for the Rooftop Solar as per the form instructions.
Feasibility Approval
Wait for feasibility approval from your DISCOM. Once approved, you can proceed with the installation.
Installation by Registered Vendor
Get the solar plant installed by any of the registered vendors in your DISCOM. Aliva Solar is a certified and registered vendor.
Submit Installation Details
Once installation is complete, submit the plant details and apply for a net meter on the portal.
Inspection & Commissioning
After net meter installation and inspection by DISCOM, a commissioning certificate will be generated from the portal.
Subsidy Disbursement
Submit your bank account details and a cancelled cheque through the portal. You will receive your subsidy in your bank account within 60 days.
